Help Others

Lake Cares offers individuals and businesses a number of opportunities to help Lake County residents who are unable to meet their needs for food and personal care items. We know that it’s important to you that your donation goes to feed and serve people. 94% of your donation dollar will go directly to those in need in our community.

We have several options to choose from and Lake Cares Food Pantry makes donating hassle-free!

Continued financial support enables Lake Cares to provide food to Lake County families and individuals who are in need.  We are proud of the strong reputation we have built for being good stewards with the funds entrusted to us from donors.  We hope you will consider becoming a donor to help us continue our mission to serve those who need us most.

Donate Food

We all go shopping at our favorite stores, pick up the items we use on a regular basis, come home, unpack and load into the pantry. We have a pantry of our own, probably larger than yours is, but we still need to fill it up. When you feed more than 200 families every week, the supplies dwindle.

Volunteer

Volunteers are one of the most important roles at Lake Cares! We depend on volunteers for just about every step in our process, from greeting our clients on distribution day to stocking the food items in the pantry, to working at our events.

Host an Event

You can help Lake Cares meet the growing demand for food and services by hosting a designated food or donation drive to mark a special event.  We want to help make your food drive a success.  Share your plans with us and we will help promote it on our Facebook page and through our network of volunteers and supporters.

Meet our Donors

We are pleased to recognize our high-level donors who make it possible for us to help thousands of individuals in need each year. We would not be able to make the impressive impact on our citizen’s lives, without your continued efforts!

Community Partners

Lake Cares enjoys partnering with local churches, businesses and organizations. Yours could make a big difference this year in Lake County by creatively helping us with a food drive or holding a fundraising event. If you have an idea already or would like to discuss some possibilities with us, please let us know well ahead of time.

Children's Feeding Program

Children in need of food are of particular importance to Lake Cares. 1 in 3 children in Lake County suffer from food insecurity, according to a 2020 report from Second Harvest Food Bank. School children generally look forward to weekends off but many are faced with no food because there is no weekend school lunch program.

Lake Cares is a not for profit, 501 C (3) organization. Please consult your financial advisor about the tax benefits available to you with charitable giving. EIN# 26-4223345
