This recipe isn’t your typical jello salad. This salad is a hit with everyone during the holidays, skip traditional cranberry sauce and watch it disappear. If you would rather serve this as a dessert, instead of adding to it individual serving dishes, after it is completely set, cut into small squares and mix with cool whip.


  • Two (.3oz) packages sugar-free cherry flavored Jell-O mix
  • Two cups boiling water
  • One (16oz) can jellied whole cranberry sauce
  • One (20oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)


Combine the gelatin and boiling water: stir to dissolve gelatin. Mix in cranberry sauce and pineapple. Pour immediately into glass serving dishes and sprinkle with nuts (optional) allow to chill for one hour.
