“Do a good turn daily” is the Boy Scouts slogan and they demonstrated it well during their annual food drive in 2020. Troop 277 clocked 240 services hours doing the necessary legwork required to deliver collection bags to residence then returning to collect them filled with food. The scouts collected from the community a total of 4,494 pounds of food, doubling last year’s total! Nearly 1,000 pounds were collected from Cub Scout Pack 277, Venture Scouting (Crew) brought in 1,225 pounds, the Girls collected 378 pounds and the remaining 1,898 pounds were collected from Boy Scout Troop 277.

We appreciate the Boy Scouts and the many residence who participated in their food drive.  Their participation enables Lake Cares Food Pantry to help struggling families in need.
