American Idol Star, Famous Antique Center, & Guinness World-Record holder team up to break a new guinness world record and help feed the hungry in lake county.

Mount Dora, FL – November 12th, 2016

On Saturday, November 12th, 2016, an unusual mix of people are attempting to break a new Guinness World Record for the Largest Potluck Ever!  David Oliver Willis (a former American Idol Star), Pastor Zach Zehnder (a Guinness World-Record Holder for the Longest Speech broken in November 2014), and Renninger’s Antique and Flea Market have teamed up to break this world record as an effort to help feed the hungry in Lake County, FL.

They have a collective goal to bring more than 2000 people to Renninger’s on November 12th from 3-6PM to break the Largest Potluck Ever record, which currently stands at 1558.  The event will start at 3PM and will feature entertainment from David Oliver Willis and his American Idol friends, including season 12 winner Candace Glover.  The event is FREE!

The world record will not happen without great participation from the community.  Participants must register beforehand at  Everyone is asked to bring a dish or beverage to feed at least six people. Admission is free to the public. It is a family-friendly event as anyone who can carry in a dish counts towards the record.  For this community to break the Guinness World Record, it will take many individuals, groups, churches, businesses, and organizations to sign up and show up.

Even more important than the Guinness World Record is the cause that this event supports.  Every dollar of proceeds goes directly to Lake Cares Food Pantry.  Thus far about $25,000 has been pledged from sponsors.  Hunger is a very serious issue in Lake County, FL.  Last year alone, Lake Cares served more than 25,000 individuals.  Funds are being raised by corporate sponsorships, and there’s plenty of room for local businesses to get involved.  To view more on Lake Cares Food Pantry, you can go to their website

Media are welcome to come and partake of this event on November 12th and stories to highlight the event and the cause of Lake Cares Food Pantry leading up to this event would be much appreciated.
